papertrey december blog hop challenge

I decided to participate in Papertrey's Blog Hop Challenge this month.  The challenge was to use holiday leftovers.  I wrapped a large box for the kids in this silver wrapping paper and found a section that wasn't completely mangled.

ink: ColorBox silver, VersaFine onyx black
other: jewel sticers, Papertrey die cut

happy new year 2011

Every year my mom's friend requests a set of New Years cards.  I've been loving my Papertrey Library Pocket die cut so I decided to make a little tag pull-out on the front.  The scrolls/swirls that are in VersaMark didn't show up in the photos.

stamp: Hampton Art champagne & bucket, Papertrey Ink scroll & "wishing you a wonderful 2011"
ink: VersaFine onyx black, ColorBox parchment
other: Copic markers (YG03, Y11, G21, C1), Papertrey Ink harvest gold buttons, black gingham ribbon, white ribbon

adriene's ornament

Adriene got super crafty on us and brought clear ornaments, artificial snow, ribbon, and decals from Uppercase Living and we made these beautiful ornaments!  Although, I have to say, I got super lazy and she made this one for me.  Love it!  It goes perfectly on our red and silver tree.

snowflake gift cards

After making those red gift cards with the mothers & daughters stamp group, I wanted to keep going so I shared these snowflake gift cards with my other stamp girls.  I like them because they can double for Christmas or a winter birthday/thank you.

kim's tags

Kim was thinking functional and brought a sea of tags, ribbon, stickers, and other embellishments for us to make tags.  Of course this was too creative for me, so I just went very simple and made these.

michelle's card

Michelle wanted to go simple with this card and I love it!  It's hard to see the accent dots, but we used a pink glitter gel pen.

lydia's card

I hosted one of our girls stamp nights at my house last night.  We had great fun chatting, eating, and occasionally stamping.

peppermint giftcard holder

I was clearly in a "minty" winter theme when I made this gift card envelope and the previous one.  Again, some paper to cover the front, a large button, and a sticker, and you're done!

present giftcard holder

Another gift card holder.  I love this one because it has such a fun shape and doesn't look like a typical gift card envelope.

penguin giftcard holder

It's that time of year for gift giving. Gift cards are great for those hard to shop for folks, or the ones who really know exactly what they want.  I made these the other night at our moms & daughters card night.  They couldn't be much easier especially with the Martha Stewart Score Board!

cover the front in cute paper and adhere a cute felt sticker

the velcro holds it shut nicely and someone can reuse it next year

cider pouch

We were off the see the pediatrician, so I wanted to bring along a small thank you for him and his staff.  My girlfriend recently introduced me to these little pouches.  You seal an A2 envelope, cut off the top, cover the top with paper, stamp the bottom, then crimp the large part so the paper-covered lid fits over it easily.

The fence is a sticker roll, it was so easy to just peel it off and stick!  There was no punching or trying to glue little pieces, it was great.

halloween

Here's another card from our moms & daughters stamp night.  My friend likes how the tag punch looks like a tombstone.  (I didn't even realize it.)

*sorry for the blogging break, we were off vacationing.  I'm still living in a pile of laundry, though.

We had our moms & daughters Halloween stamp night the other evening.  Once again we had a blast chatting and being creative.  Here's one of the cards I made:
